Our Mumfit Post Natal Wellbeing Programme

Becoming a mother is a is a very special time in a woman’s life and our MUMFIT programme has been developed to provide you with services that will enable you to have the best possible start to motherhood both if its your first time or if you already have other children. Mumfit is more than just a course of classes it offers specially designed exercises sessions to heal and regain your fitness levels, support, nutritional advice and massage therapies to release tension – all services have been developed by highly experienced midwives and specialist fitness experts to give you peace of mind that you are in excellent hands.

Mumfit Fitness Classes

MUMFIT is a specially designed post natal exercise programme to help you once you have had your baby. The postnatal journey takes time and can vary depending on your birth and recovery. MUMFIT offers a safe, supportive and goal oriented approach to post natal fitness, with special focus on issues affecting new mothers, such as strengthening of pelvic floor and abdominal muscles which are effected by pregnancy and labour. Every new mum joining the programme has a complimentary Mummy MOT which includes a 30 minute individual phone consultation and including assessment of tummy muscles, posture and nutritional advice.

Our Tough Mutha Workout classes are part of our fitness programme for 6 months + post-natal clients who are looking for a more challenging and results driven workout, still focusing on issues relevant to post-natal recovery, but building strength, stamina and fitness.

Mumfit Support & Education

Feeling supported is a key characteristic of our MUMFIT programme and included in the price of your MUMFIT classes is free membership to our online MUMFIT members group. Our active and friendly community of Mum’s use the group to access ongoing support and advice from our resident post natal fitness  expert, Jayne Hume, who provides videos, recipes, wellbeing tips, inspiration, motivation and progress reports on a regular basis. It is also a great social community to discuss your experiences, ideas and also to arrange social meets ups etc.

Mumfit Therapies

Are you in need of some ‘tender loving care’ after having your baby? During your recovery from having your baby women can really benefit from a restorative massage particularly focusing on the lower back and pelvic area. Women experience separation of the abdominal muscles and this can cause weaknesses in the core area. Post natal massage can help relieve aches and pains, release tension and promote healing.

1-to-1 Nutrition Consultations

Once you have had your baby many women struggle to eat well and indeed even find the time to eat at all but optimal post natal nutrition is crucial to healing your body after birth. We are able to offer you a 1 to 1 nutritional consultation to help you make the best food choices once your baby has arrived to ensure you nourish your body with all the right nutrients.
